ELDERS ADVISORY COUNCIL FROM IMO EAST, WEST AND NORTH SENATORIAL DISTRICTS UNANIMOUSLY SIGN A BOND FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE IN IMO..


Ahead of the Governorship and State Assembly Elections on the 9th of this month, Elders drawn from the three senatorial districts of the state, Imo East, West and North zones known as Imo State Elders  Advisory Council has signed a pact of consensus Governorship Candidate, of the People Democratic Party PDP, RTN HON. Emeka Ihedioha to drive good governance in the state.

Speaking at the convention, Prof. F.C Dike enumerated that if elders refuse to speak up in one voice, concerning issues of bad governance in the state, the next generation may resort to a situation of helplessness.
The former Attorney-General described Imo Citizens as beautiful bride, highly sort after in eminent professions, hence do not deserve recklessly governance. The three zones therefore accept to sign an agreement of togetherness to avert dictatorship of any group or persons against another, in the course of politicking.

Air Commodore Ochulor, from owerri zone, said, the group was founded on 2017, to address certain issues of concern in the state.
He affirmed, the stand of the forum to thrill Imo Citizens into following a line of decency, adding that the kind of politics played in the state will not favor the future generation.

Another Convener of the platform, Engr. Charles Ugwu revealed that the essence of  signing the bond for a consensus candidate, was to create a reset for good governance, peaceful co-existence, vibrant economy, to shun election violence rift,  and to return Imo State to the era of eminence and pride.
