ORLU WOMEN PROTEST OVER ALLEGED ELECTION MALPRACTICES.

Women of Orlu Senatorial zone, numbering more than five hundred has taken to the street of owerri, Army Barracks 34 Artillary Brigade Obinze and State office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to demonstration the alleged election malpractices in the zone during the just concluded february 23 National Assembly polls.

The Orlu Zonal Women Leader, Mrs Obianuju Ihejiagwa, at the Army Barracks, 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze said, the people of orlu senatorial district, especially the women had rejected the outcome of the National Assembly election in the zone.

The Leader of the group while addressing the army officers urged the military not to be used as a tool to disrupt elections.

The Women were seen marching, dressed in black and chanting songs with placards inscribed '' INEC PLEASE GIVE US REAL ORLU ZONE RESULTS'' WE ARE NOT FIGHTING''.
